February 2025 - GONE COUNTRY Tropes & Mini-blurb Reveal 😮
Hi Folks! OMG, January was Soooo long, right?
I was reading about the Oscar nominations, and I’ve only seen two movies up for Best Picture: The Substance (excellent!) and Conclave (less excellent). The acting in Conclave was top-notch, but I thought the film was a bit of a snooze-fest. I hope Demi Moore wins for The Substance. Like, that performance was crazy great. I’ll try to see A Complete Unknown and The Brutalist before the Oscars. I tried watching Emilia Pérez but couldn’t get past ten minutes. I’m not big on musicals. I guess that makes me a philistine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
In case you missed it, I posted the cover for GONE COUNTRY, along with a mini-blurb, and tropes . . . I’m excited to introduce you to Jamie (FMC) and Clayton (MMC)!
You can add it to your GOODREAD’S shelf.
In other news, I was interviewed by Nashville Voyager, so that was pretty cool. You can read it here: https://nashvillevoyager.com/interview/life-work-with-hunter-snow-of-vancouver-bc
Starting this month, I’m posting a review of a new book I loved:
WE COULD BE RATS by Emily Austin 👏👏👏👏👏
This is one of the most brutally honest books I’ve ever read—it felt like stepping into the main character’s diary. Austin captures the raw, unfiltered complexity of human thought and emotion, shining a light on the parts of ourselves we often hide. We all have secrets, make mistakes, and sometimes don’t fully understand why we do what we do. Through vivid storytelling, this book portrays the struggles and pain of navigating life’s challenges with remarkable authenticity. It’s a poignant reminder of how complicated people can be. I highly recommend it to anyone searching for a story that feels real, especially if you’re facing struggles of your own.
Oh, and I forgot to mention I left Twitter/X in January. I try not to get too political but fuck that guy.
I hope everyone has a great February!
As you were,
Hunter
PS: I’m so sick of my author picture. I promise to change it soon!
